Mighty Hammer here again with some more of my thoughts on Mario Kart Wii.

Firstly let me say Mario Kart Wii, although not being fabulous graphics-wise, is a whole new experience with the online flavour, great fun as I have already said in a previous posting, it's absolutely brilliant. BUT there's one thing I have a problem with - the Mii...

Am I playing Mario Kart or Mii Kart? These "Mii"s just absolutely annoy me, I can't help it. You know, it's the whole flavour of Mario Kart that makes it Mario Kart with all the lads in there - Mario, Luigi, Bowser, Peach etc, each with their own character. That's what Mario Kart has always been about, it's never been a racing game as such, i.e. John races Jim, the whole fun of it is that it's all the characters from the games having a bit of a rumble.

Now what I have online is sometimes I am playing maybe in a team of 8 and I've got like 4 Miis, giving it "Heeey" and other such stupid sounds. These guys really annoy me. You know if you want to play as yourself and pretend that you are a racing driver etc why mess with Mario Kart, go to one of the other Formula 1 games or something. Mario Kart is all about, and I mean all about, Mario, Luigi and the gang racin' and rumblin' as I said earlier. So, I don't have any time for the Miis in Mario Kart - these guys are the first ones in my red shells target sights online!

Oh, and while I'm on the subject, I don't play Mario and Sonic at the Olympics with Miis either, and neither should you! Let's keep it in the right flavour and leave the Miis for Wii Sports, Wii Fit, etc.

- Mighty
