Bowser's
Cheating Dome
Is this why I, Bowser, always win? Ha ha ha! Here are loads of rotten cheats and tips that'll put you at pole position! Just read on...
Cheats
Two First
Places
Oh, this cheat
is so mean sometimes even I am afraid to do it! So here's how you get
two first places in versus mode(3 or 4 player).
First you need
to storm ahead and be in the lead (hopefully miles ahead) on the last lap.
Then cross the finish line in reverse! The AI will start moving your kart
and it will cross the finish line again! So you'll get 2 first places!

Want to land
in the crowds on Luigi Raceway? Or maybe see what's in the middle of Toad's
Turnpike? You can do this and more with this excellent trick! Ha ha! First,
you'll need to start a two(or more) player game. Then, choose a light character
(e.g. Toad) and a heavy character (e.g. Wario). In this instance, you need
to pick up a Mushroom Boost with Toad first. Now let's say you wanted to land
in Luigi Raceway's crowds. Park Wario in front of the crowds first. Then put
Toad directly behind him but far away from him to get a running start. Drive
as fast as you can towards Wario and activate your Mushroom Boost. As soon
as you hit Wario, jump! You should go flying over Wario and land in the crowds!
And what happens when you do? That's a secret!
Stop the
skid
Hit a banana?
Slam on the brakes the second you here the slip noise. Your character will
make a sound and a musical note will appear above your character if you do
it right! Huh? What happened? No skid? Surprise surprise!
Super
race re-entry
If you're clumsy
enough to fall of the edge and Lakitu has to slowly pick you up, hit the gas
when you are about 3 tires above the ground. You'll have a quick recovery.
Get off
to a flying start!
With this trick
you will-literally! First get the turbo-start(Lakitu will tell you about this
in the Lakitu's Racing Secrets section of this site) and jump when you hit
another racer. Depending on how heavy they are, you should fly high or low
over the other racers! Ha ha har!
Drive
a shell
To do this trick,
enter 2-player Double Deck battle mode with any characters. As Player 1, get
a red shell. Then drive Player 2 up to the top platform(light red).
Now simply get Player 1 back onto the green platform in the centre of the
course and slightly behind Player 2 and fire the shell! The shell will go
underneath Player 2 and he/she will be able to drive the shell around!
Going
down!
Want to really make'em pay? Then go to Royal Raceway in two player versus
mode! When you hit the big zipper, guide yourself into the brink using Player
1. Then get Player 2(the heavier character) to do the same thing! Lakitu will
put him/her on top of Player 1 and Player 1 will go through the ground! Cool!
Stuck
in the mud
To make this glitch work,
you need to have a strong finger! Go to Choco Mountain in any mode. Turn around
at the start and head for the spot opposite to the "Nintendo" poster.
Then, hold A and keep pressing jump so that you drive up the mountain. When
you get to the top, your racer will act like it's been crashed by a green
shell, except it'll stay trapped in one place for about 45-60 seconds. After
this time is up, you'll be lifted up and out of this mess and put back on
the road but the problem is there's no Lakitu! Strange!
Spooky
darkness!
Only skilled
racers can pull off this feat! Go to Wario Stadium on any mode(I, the expert
Bowser, suggest Time Trial).
Don't start
the race, but go all the way back to where you land from the jump. Now this
bit will be easier if you use a heavy character. Jump over the wall (after
taking a running start at it) and as soon as you know that you are going to
go over, take your fingers off those buttons! You'll have a very glitched
screen and you'll be able to turn left and right, but you won't be able to
accelerate or you'll return to the real world. Enjoy!
Motorway
madness
Go to Toad's
Turnpike in two-player versus mode. Then, park Player 2 as close to the rail
as you possibly can. Now, try to get a Super Star with Player 1. When you
get it, go back to Player 2 (you might want to get a running start for the
next bit) and crash into him with your Super Star activated! Player 2 should
go flying over the rail and through the wall - ???! But what happens then?
You'll have to find out! Clue - You see the sky and get a bit wet!
Royal
climb
You'll need
the sneaky jump technique mentioned earlier for this trick. First, get to
the second booster panel on Royal Raceway(in any mode). Then, go over it and
take a sharp right so that you land on the diagonal part of the green
mountain. You can now hop up this part. If you turn left and then carry on
hopping, you'll land on a flat part of mountainside. This little glitch can
also be used to pull of a sneaky surprise attack of a red shell on any oaf
that lumbers by! They can't see you on the flat part!
More glitches coming soon!
Minigame Ideas
Ger'off
my lan'!
Want a defensive
Battle game? Go to any battle course and create territories in certain areas.
Then lay all manner of bomb blocks, narnies and anything else you can think
of there! Now you've set up a base. Then the idea is to either defend your
base from attackers or go and smash up someone else's! Last man standing wins!
Here are some ideas of territory locations:
Big Doughnut
Pick one (or two) of the large blocks in the arena. This and the area around
it is your base.
Double Deck
Either choose one of the floors as your base or take the middle light green
section.
Block Fort
Duh! Choose one of the large forts! The lower sections are the danger zones
- fire green shells down there from above for maximum carnage!
Skyscraper
Pick one of the little huts and the surrounding area as your base. Make sure
you have a lot of protection, though, as you are very vulnerable on this small,
open arena.
Castle
Raceway
Want another
mini track? Go to Royal Raceway and enter the long pathway with the castle.
Now you can use the castle grounds as either another race track (with the
place opposite the door representing the start line) or another BATTLE COURSE!
Just get the weapons from outside the castle and count how many hits you've
taken.
