Oh, hello there. I'm Lakitu, and I've got a few racing secrets that might help you win. See them below!

Power Slide
Hold down R and move the analogue stick in your direction(left or right).
Rating: ***

Advanced power slide
Do a power slide but move the analogue stick from left to right. When you get red E's then stop wiggling for a boost. Good eh?
Rating: ****

Jump
Press R. Useful on corners.
Rating: ***

Tail-boosting
Get behind a kart for about three seconds. You'll get a speed boost.
Rating: **

Swivel
When stationary, hold B and A and move the analogue stick. Hey, a merry go round!
Rating: ****(for tight spots)

Turbo-start
Hold A just when the second red light disappears.
Rating: *****

* = rubbish
** = not very useful
